Publishing a new version of our privacy policy will invalidate all previous versions. Web store software
Our online store is developed using Wix software. Personal data you provide to us for the purposes of our services is shared with wix.com. Wix has access to your data to provide technical support but will never use your data for other purposes. Under the agreement we have with Wix, they are obligated to implement appropriate security measures. Wix uses cookies to collect technical information about your use of the software; personal data is also collected and/or stored.

Payment processor
To process payments in our online store, we use the wix platform, Wix's built-in payment processor. wix processes your name, address, and payment information, such as your bank account number or credit card number. wix has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. They reserve the right to use your data to improve their services and, in that context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Wix' services for which they engage third parties. Shipping and logistics
When you place an order with Umi Pet, it's our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of Post NL, DPD, DHL or UPS to carry out deliveries. For this, we need to share your name, address, and city of residence with our logistics partner. They uses this information solely to fulfill the agreement. If our logistics partner uses subcontractors, your information will also be shared with these parties.
Invoicing and accounting
We use an external accountant to manage our administration and accounting. We share your name, address, and details regarding your order with the accountant. This information is used to manage sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. The accountant is obligated to maintain confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. The accountant will not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.
External sales channels
We sell our products through the Wix platform. If you place an order through this platform, Wix shares your order details and personal data with us. We treat your data confidentially and have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Retention periods
We retain your data for as long as you are a Umi Pet customer. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we also consider it a request to be forgotten. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data, and we will retain this data for the duration of the applicable period. However, employees will no longer have access to your customer profile and any documents we have created as a result of your order.
Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European law, you have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of Umi Pet. Below, we explain these rights and how you can exercise them.
Right of inspection
You always have the right to access the data we process that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on file for you, along with an overview of the processors who hold this data, and the category under which we store this data.

You always have the right to have the data we process that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you amended. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation that the data has been amended to the email address we have on file for you.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we process that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to portability
You always have the right to have the data we process that relates to you personally or is identifiable from you processed by another party. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties to the email address we have on file for you. In that case, we will likely no longer be able to continue providing our services, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Umi Pet. If you object, we will immediately cease processing your data pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies of the data we process and then permanently cease processing.
